The tradition
In the military, a coin means you belong.
Someone puts it in your hand, usually with a handshake, and from then on you carry it.
Nobody agrees on where the tradition began. Every origin story is a legend, and there are several. What isn’t in dispute is how it works. When someone calls a coin check, you had better be able to put yours on the table.
This coin isn’t a unit coin, and nobody earns it by serving. It’s Coach Jeff’s. We made it for the moment you need something to hold, and it carries its own challenge.
The challenge
One minute with the coin. Nothing else.
